报告人简介Professor Bin Wang is Emeritus Professor of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Hawai‘i and Co-Leader of the Asian-Australian Monsoon Team at the International Pacific Research Center (IPRC). His research focuses on climate dynamics, tropical meteorology, global monsoon, intraseasonal oscillation, ENSO, and climate prediction, with systematic and innovative contributions to climate variability and change, air-sea interaction, and tropical cyclones. He has authored or co-authored more than 480 peer-reviewed papers, edited or co-edited 4 books, and contributed 17 invited book chapters. His publications have received over 78,000 citations with an h-index of 145 (Google Scholar). He has served on numerous international scientific steering and advisory committees, including as Co-Chair of the WCRP/CLIVAR-GEWEX Asian Monsoon Years Science Steering Committee and Co-Chair of the Science Advisory Committee of the APEC Climate Center. He is a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society (2009) and the American Geophysical Union (2013). He received the AMS Carl-Gustaf Rossby Research Medal (2015) and the University of Hawai‘i Board of Regents’ Medal for Excellence in Research (2013), among other major awards. He has held editorial positions for leading journals including the Journal of the Atmospheric Sciences, Advances in Atmospheric Sciences, and Acta Meteorologica Sinica, and remains highly influential in the fields of monsoon and tropical dynamics worldwide.
